5 comics that live in my head rent-free
Let’s face it, comics can be pretty f***ing weird. And I’m not talking about the crazy superhero shenanigans that the medium is known for; I’m talking about the niche, psychedelic corners that only the old dude at your local comic shop is aware of. From trippy autobiographies to experimental thought-pieces, comics have been the home to many a strange tale.
If I’m being honest, a lot of the more out-there stuff isn’t worth the read despite how interesting they may seem. Still, there have been a few books that will always hold real estate in my brain no matter how hard I try to disregard them. I can’t explain why but there’s just something these comics have that left an impression in me that I can’t understand. This is not to say that these are “good” comics, I wouldn’t even recommend them to my Nana, but my mind will never forget them no matter what.
This intro is already too long so here we go.
The Cage
Good f***ing luck trying to figure this one out, folks.
I tried to find sources that could explain what the crap was going on with this graphic novel back when I was reviewing it, but nobody seems to know…
