An October Night Alone

The blanket’s out now

And beer has been poured in a uniquely crafted goblet

A movie is playing while the cat gets comfy

The weekend is almost over

All the chores and shopping are done

Might as well relax and enjoy the peace

Before Monday comes along with the work week

And before the weather really gets brutal

Along with the gas bills

It’s dark outside

Pitch black

Almost like the rest of the world is gone

Nothing else is there

It’s just me with some alcohol

And music that was made before my mother was born

It’s unreal

Not bad

Can’t wait for this to happen again next week
