Are Comics Okay?

Let me ask you a weird question. How do you think the comic book industry is doing?

If you’re just going off of all the superhero movies and shows that’re out now, you’d probably think it’s in a stable spot. Heck, you might get the impression that everything’s fine just by looking at all the articles I’ve written in the last two and a half years. With all the titles and publishers I mention, it’s safe to assume that the industry is pretty healthy now, right?

Yet, if you go searching for answers yourself, you might stumble across some interesting things. YouTube videos about the downward spiral of comic book quality, comment sections filled with negativity, and a couple of legit news articles about the industry that are very strangely worded. There’s a lot of information fluttering around nowadays and I don’t blame anyone for being confused. Some sources say comic books are fine, some say they’re suffering a temporary hit due to world events, and some say the industry is on its last leg.

What the heck is going on? Who’s telling the truth? Are comics okay?

Well… Uh… Let me put it this way.
