Well, it’s February and I don’t have any romance comics to review.

That’s mostly because pure romance comics are not much of a thing in the States anymore due to them not making a complete recovery after the CCA brought the hammer down on them back in the day. The other reason is that I don’t read a lot of romance comics…….Not American ones anyways.

So this month I’ll be looking at Marvel’s Colors Series: four limited series focusing on an individual hero’s beginnings and the relationships they lost along the way. That should be fitting enough since three of the four series focus on a romantic relationship and it has another of my favorite duos in comics.

Let’s start from the beginning, shall we?

Daredevil: Yellow was the first of the series to come out between 2001–2002. It was written by Jeph Loeb and illustrated by Tim Sale who have worked together many times before on other iconic series like Batman: The Long Halloween and Dark Victory. Like I mentioned above, this series focuses on how Matt Murdock/Daredevil’s became a costumed hero, his earliest adventure, and his first introduced love interest. And if you’re wondering why it’s call Daredevil
