Life in the Jungle (NaNoWriMo Update 1)

Sorry for the delay folks. I was hoping to get this update out on Friday but by the time I got home and showered, I pretty much collapsed on my bed and refused to get up. The next update will be on Friday if I can stay awake long enough.

Back on track, I’d say the first week of writing has been a success. I got about half of my poetry typed out and one article written so far. And it’s been boosted! So, double points there. Still haven’t gotten to the issue three script or the novel yet but that’ll come soon.

My boyfriend has been over almost every day this week, so progress has been a little slow. Turns out you’re supposed to “hang out” with boyfriends and “go on dates with them” and “cuddle with them on the couch”. Super need bunch they are lol.

Speaking of distraction, I had a book fair yesterday. Unfortunately, it was a low turnout, I only sold two books, but I did get to talking with other authors who let me know about other events. At this point, I’m saying yes to every opportunity because it’s one thing to have an online presence, it’s another to have a real-life presence. Plus, I need to work on my social skills. I’ll have another book fair next weekend so, hopefully that one will turn out better.
