Re-entering the Jungle (NaNoWriMo month)
Hey hey hey. It’s that month again.
Yes, my dear readers, I am once again participating in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). The last few years I’ve done it, I’ve mostly used it to either wrap up some projects I was working on or write articles for this blog. While I still plan on doing that this year, I will also attempt to get started on a novel I’ve been dying to write for years. Why haven’t I started earlier? Procrastination and alcohol. Hey, I’m a writer, it’s what we’re known for.
For this year’s NaNoWriMo, I have four goals:
- Start that novel.
- Write the script for Issue 3 of my comic.
- Type out all the poems I’ve been journaling in preparation to compile into the next poetry book.
- Write at least 3 articles for this blog.
This may be a tall order, but if I can at least accomplish two of these, I’ll consider it a win. I’m also going to do my no alcohol cleanse along with the update posts so you guys can check in on my progress. Stay tuned to see how things go!
One last thing: I am currently running an IndieGoGo campaign for my first comic book Next Evolution #1. There are a couple of tiers available and I’m offering digital and physical copies. We’re already halfway to our goal but every little bit help!
