Writer’s Log #1

First week has been a bit slow on the writing side. I managed to put out one article and have another two planned for next week. As for editing, I finally got through the one story that’s been giving me grief last month. I still have quite a few more stories to go through but at least I got that one out of the way. Overall, not the worst start to November but I need to do better.

I’m planning on going to a local coffee shop tomorrow to get more work done. It’s been a struggle to write at home when my bed is only a few feet away from my desk. Not even moving to the living room helped since my cat has apparently joined the anti-work movement while my back was turned. Perhaps a change of scenery will help get the creative gears in motion. You guys will find out this week, I guess.

I have two more books to read before I put out my next Comics I’ve been reading list. It’s been taking a while and I have no excuse for myself. Sorry for keeping you guys waiting! I promise it will be out soon.

As for my sobriety, I’ve been doing well so far. I did have a dream last night that I was tricked into taking two shots of vodka then went on an adventure to find a bar that would serve me a pint. This is not the first time something like this happened; I’ve had dreams of drinking within the first week the last two years. I thought about getting those non-alcoholic beers as a substitute but when I looked closer at the package, they still had 0.5% of alcohol. Feels like cheating. Oh well.

Next week I’ll probably do a status report since I’ll be busy on Saturday. See you in the next one!
